You can add friends to your Close Friends list to obtain an alert each time they upload. You can turn these notifications off at any time.
How To Make A Close Friends List On Facebook
1. Most likely to their account
2. Float over friends on top of their profile
3. Select Close Friends
Keep in mind: You can add friends to more than one list or remove friends from a list.

1. Open up the Facebook app.
2. Tap menu icon in top appropriate corner > Friends
3. In the Friends tab, touch the Friend you want to add to the Close Friends list to see her/his Facebook web page
4. Touch the Friends button > Edit Friend list
5. Select Close Friends, and after that tap Done.
