This shows you how to review your old chat messages on Facebook. You can do this from within the Facebook Messenger app, or you can use the desktop computer Facebook web site.
How To Find Old Messages On Facebook
: > Log-in to your Facebook account. Click in the "Messages" switch at the top of the Facebook display.
: > Click "See All."
: > Click in the "Search Messages" area and get in a search term. Click on the "Search" button or press "Enter" on your key-board.
: > Scroll down the checklist of messages to discover the message. You may need to click on "Load Older Thread" at the end of the display to display even more messages.
: > View archived messages by scrolling to the bottom of the web page and clicking the "Archived" web link at the end of the web page. Scroll via your archived messages, if needed.
Tips: If you erased the message from Facebook Messenger, you likely won't have the ability to get them.
Warnings: You can not reply to archived messages.
